What is SGI?
Sjukpenninggrundande inkomst is the income basis used for several Swedish benefits. Försäkringskassan determines SGI; an app can help you plan but cannot make that decision.
After your child turns one
During full-time leave, withdrawals normally need to equal five full days per week to protect SGI. During part-time leave, benefit normally needs to cover the reduction in working hours. Exceptions may apply.
Parental days have different roles
Income-based days, minimum-level days, reserved days and double days affect the plan differently. Your calendar therefore needs to track person, extent and type of day.
Add checkpoints
Set reminders before the first and fourth birthdays, longer part-time periods and changes in work or income. That gives you time to adjust before a risk becomes real.
